I’m an oil painter based in London, painting outdoor scenes directly from life. I’m interested in how light and weather shape the way we see familiar places. 

My goal is simple: to capture a moment as it happens, without overthinking or overworking it. Each painting reflects the atmosphere of the scene—subtle shifts in light, color, and mood that I hope invite you to take a second look at the world around us.

Kristen Ronhovde is an emerging plein air oil painter, originally from Seattle, now based in London since 2020. Her work captures the interplay of light and atmosphere in everyday outdoor scenes.

She holds a degree in Fine Arts and Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University, California, and further honed her artistic skills in Florence, Italy, studying Renaissance painting techniques such as fresco, oil on panel, and gilding with Syracuse University.
