I’m a London based plein air painter. My work is all about light - exploring how it transforms places, people and objects.
Pastel is my preferred medium; I enjoy the glowing, fragile colours. It suits the transience of the moment and can be worked rapidly in the changing light. I’m thrilled to be a member of the Pastel Society.
There are two free light shows a day, sunrise and sunset and four different seasons - never ending subject matter.
Art is a form of communication and I hope that my work conveys my wonder of the world.
I’m a member of the Chelsea Art Society, the Small Paintings Group and the Wapping Group of Artists. I have exhibited at the Pastel Society, Jerram Gallery, Moorwood Art, Medici, Sarah Samuels Fine Art, Surface ICA and Piers Feetham Gallery. Awards received at the Pastel Society (2024 Frank Herring & Sons Award, 2019 Royal Talent/Rembrandt Award), RBA and CAS. In November 2024, I was joint winner of the Sloane Stanley Award at Chelsea Art Society.
My studio is at Wimbledon Art Studios.
